Post Massage Activities

Ever wonder what to do right after a massage to maintain its benefits? Not just the day of, but even several days after? The effects of massage are different for everyone and may last longer for some than others.  Here are a few things that you can do to prolong the benefits of your massage

Take a warm bath with Epsom salt

  •  Epsom salt baths relieve pain, muscle soreness and cramps.
  •  Epsom salt baths are known to ease pain and relieve inflammation, making it beneficial in the treatment of sore muscles, bronchial  asthma, and migraine headaches.
  •  Epsom salt softens skin and can even neutralize foot odor

Take a walk

  • Walking is not only an easy and enjoyable exercise, but is also good for getting your blood flowing.
  • Taking a walk can relieve stress, and helps to keep you happy and healthy

Moist Heat

  •  After massage, applying warm, moist heat can also help keep your blood flow moving, and keep your muscles relaxed after a massage

Low intensity work-outs

  • Your body is now in relax mode. To keep your heart rate at this pace for the next 48 hours, refrain from hardcore, intense exercise.

  • Massage is often a gift that you have given to yourself! If you are able to, just lay back, relax, and enjoy the incredible way that you are feeling.
